We are a small village school situated on the Duddon Estuary approximately 10 minutes away from the Lake District National Park. We pride ourselves in being part of the heart of the community of Kirkby in Furness. We have close links with St Cuthbert's Church and Kirkby Community Centre.

Our first butterfly emerges ğŸ¦‹

Great news… The first butterfly has emerged from it’s cocoon and is happily flapping in it’s net. 😁

The next stage ğŸ›ğŸ¦‹ğŸ›ğŸ¦‹

The caterpillars have hardened into chrysalides and are now in their new butterfly habitat. Let’s hope the metamorphosis takes until next week so that we can watch them emerge as butterflies! 🦋
